Terms of Service

By signing up or using Kinstripe, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country, your parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

Don't use Kinstripe to harass, defame, or impersonate anyone. Don't upload content you don't have the right to upload. Don't try to break our security, scrape our servers, or interfere with other users.

We can suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules. We try to give warnings first, but for serious violations we may act immediately.

You own what you upload. You give us the limited license needed to run the service: store, display, and transmit your content to the people you've invited.

You're responsible for the accuracy of what you upload, including consent from living people whose information you add.

The Free plan is free. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, in advance. Lifetime is a one-time payment. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We can change prices for new subscriptions with 30 days' notice. Your existing subscription's price is locked in until you cancel.

You can cancel from your account settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We can terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We can also discontinue the service with at least 6 months' notice and a clean GEDCOM export of every active tree.

Kinstripe is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that the product will fit a particular purpose. We're a small team building carefully — that comes with trade-offs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria, except where consumer-protection law gives you the right to a different forum.

We'll email you at least 30 days before any material change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept, you can cancel and export your data.
