We're building the family tree tool we always wanted

Existing family tree tools were designed for the internet of 2005. They're read-only, privacy-hostile, and impossible to collaborate on in real time.

Kinstripe is what we wanted: a living family tree that multiple people can edit simultaneously — like Google Docs, but for genealogy.

And because families are complicated, Kinstripe supports bridged trees — separate trees for step-families, adoptive families, and anyone whose story doesn't fit a single linear chart.
